Wysong Enterprises, Inc. Delivers New Bell 407 Helicopter Completion to Air Evac Lifeteam
Wysong Enterprises, Inc., (Wysong) announced today from the Air Medical Transport Conference that they delivered a new Bell 407 EMS Helicopter to Missouri based Air Evac EMS, Inc., (Air Evac Lifeteam) the largest independently owned and operated air medical service provider in the United States. Air Evac Lifeteam operates more than 110 Bell 206 Long Ranger aircrafts in their fleet and a handful of Bell 407s. This is the first new Bell 407 in their fleet. The completion work included a custom paint scheme, complete avionics system, airframe kits, and numerous safety systems as well as a complete emergency medical interior.
“We have customized four aircraft for Air Evac Lifeteam over the last year,” said Vice President of Wysong Enterprises, Inc., Rodney Wysong. “This is the first new aircraft we have completed for them. Our team worked tirelessly to complete the aircraft in approximately 60-calendar days instead of the typical 90. The quicker we get aircraft back to our customers the sooner it is back in operations adding to our customer’s bottom line. We strive to provide the best services, options, and rapid turn times.”
Air Evac Lifeteam is the largest independently owned and operated air medical company in the United States, operating 104 bases in 15 states. Air Evac Lifeteam President Seth Myers said the company is pleased with the quality work completed by Wysong Enterprises.

The aircraft has an extensive avionics package including a Honeywell KCS-55A Gyro Compass System, Technisonic TDFM 7000 Multi-Band FM Transceiver, Garmin GNS-430AW GPS/NAV/COM, TRA-3000 Radar Altimeter, Sky Trac flight following system, Becker 6402 Mode S Transponder, and other associated avionics equipment. Several airframe modifications were also completed including an Air Comm dual evap air-conditioning system, Air Comm heater, AAI Nightscanner, door openers, snow baffles, and the installation of a lead acid battery.
The Safety equipment included in the configuration is a wire strike protection system; custom exterior scene response lighting, as well as NVG compatible lighting systems to allow NVG goggle operations. The EMS Interior System installed by Wysong included Life Port provided kits such as a litter system, pilot barrier system, floor barrier tub, along with numerous Wysong custom designed accessories.
Wysong has completed approximately 30 EMS 407s for various customers throughout the world.
